Many of the scriptures where thanksgiving (towdah – h8426)
appears describe very dark circumstances. Each time people had
chosen to Hope, because God is the God Who Restores.
Scripture:
Psalm 107:22
Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving (towdah) and
declare His works with rejoicing.
Psalm 56:12b-13
I will render praise (towdah) unto Elohim. He has delivered my
soul from death, will He not also deliver my feet from falling, that I
may walk before Elohim in the land of the living?
Psalm 116:16-17
O Lord, Truly I am your servant, You have loosed my bonds, I will
offer you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the Name
of YHWH
