God will bless us and give us an abundant return amid
our enemies.
Mark 10:29-31
Jesus said: I can guarantee this truth: Anyone who gave up his
home, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children or fields
because of me and the Good News will certainly receive a
hundred times as much here IN THIS LIFE. They will certainly
receive homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields,
along with persecution.
But in the world to come they will receive eternal life. But many
who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
(We see this in the life of Isaac: He planted crops in the land of
the Philistines. In that same year, he harvested a hundred times
as much as he had planted because the Lord had blessed him. He
continued to be successful, becoming very rich. Because he
owned so many flocks, herds, and servants, the Philistines
became jealous of him. So, they filled in all the wells that his
father Abraham’s servant had dug in his lifetime.
